Proper said there <br />are funds for tree replacement. and the Forester will work with the <br />residents in determining tree species. <br /> <br />Gunderman can see both sides to the issue. but feels Option 4 is the best <br />alternative. <br /> <br />Rebelein supports Option 4, and recalled the first time she approached the <br />Valley View road split and was confused about which way to proceed. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman. seconded by Rebelein, to APPROVE OPTION FOUR <br />(28' ROADWAY WIDTH WITH A JOG IN THE CURBING DOWN TO 22' TO <br />SAVE THE RED OAK TREE) AS THE FINAL DESIGN FOR THE WEST <br />PORTION OF VALLEY VIEW LANE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council has earlier approved a joint powers agreement to equip a <br />hazardous materials response vehicle and train New Brighton. Roseville. <br />and Lake Johanna (representing Shoreview, Arden Hills and North Oaks) <br />fire departments to make appropriate response to such emergencies. <br /> <br />The other entities did not approve the original agreement because of some <br />concerns. These concerns have now been resolved and the agreement is <br />acceptable to all parties. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by larson, to APPROVE THE SHARED <br />HAZMAT SERVICE AGREEMENT SUBJECT TO FINAL APPROVAL OF THE <br />CITY ATTORNEY; AND RESCIND THE PREVIOUS JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT APPROVED ON JUNE 11, 1990. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Uodates <br /> <br />Council congratulated Benke for a successful year as LMC President. <br />Benke enjoyed his tenure and thanked the Council for their support. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by larson, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - O.
