Resolution No. 06-096 and 06-097. <br /> <br />Kerry Thorne gave a brief history of the project, along with a summary of associated costs. <br />A map of properties to be assessed was shown. <br />Mayor Larson requested additional information on the deferment option offered to Senior <br />Citizens. <br />Ms. Thorne outlined the requirements to qualify for the deferment. <br />Council Member Burg expressed her appreciation to staff for the project, and it was stated <br />that residents were in favor of the assessment. <br />Jeanna Troha, Acting City Manager stated this was a big project for the City, and she too <br />was very pleased with the outcome. <br />Grant Wyffels reported the projected finish date for Xcel energy to underground the wiring <br />would be October 11, of 2006. <br />A resident Bob Odash (2264 Rice Creek Road) reported he was unsatisfied with the <br />replacement sod. Mr. Wyffels agreed to meet with Mr. Odash. <br />Orv Krause (2001 28th Avenue) stated he was pleased with the Rice Creek Road project, <br />but was very dissatisfied with the progress Xcel energy is making on the undergrounding <br />project. <br />Barb Schwab (2021 Rice Creek Road) had numerous complaints about the project. She <br />suggested the payment be collected upon completion and resident satisfaction. <br />Mayor Larson stated staffwill follow up with her. <br /> <br />I Motion by Conncil Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Bauman to close <br />the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Mayor Larson stated that the City needs to hold Xcel Energy accountable for the <br />satisfaction and completions of project. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Bauman to <br />hold a Public Hearing and adopt the assessment resolutions contained in the attached <br />2006 Special Assessment Report, Project 05-1, Rice Creek Road Reconstruction. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Business <br />1.
