<br />-2- <br /> <br />Commissioner Wickland stated that he agreed with Commissioner Doyle's <br />comments and further stated that he felt the 79 foot strip that <br />may be left may be the most troublesome. <br /> <br />Mr. Ernst noted that the restaurant south of Taco Bell would be <br />using the Taco Bell,drivewaywhich would have the effect of adding <br />an additional 30 feet to this 79 foot strip. He stated that he <br />was buying. this property because he felt the property could be used. <br />Mr. Ernst also stated that he felt Taco Bell would probably pull <br />cars off of Silver Lake Road rather than increasing the traffic <br />level. <br /> <br />-' <br /> <br />Motion by Doyle, seconded by Medved, to recommend denial of LP-46 <br />based on the following: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The proposed use is in conflict with the proposed <br />Comprehensive Plan and this area may b~ subject to <br />mora tor ium. , <br /> <br />.\ <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The proposed development would leave a 79 foot in width <br />strip of property lying south of the Taco Bell south <br />and the existing Country Club Market, which may be of <br />inadequate size to develop. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />The proposed site presents a traffic problem on Silver <br />Lake Road which may be aggravated by one driveway that <br />would service two potential restaurants and one office <br />building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Medved stated that he saw a problem with the motion <br />as stated. <br /> <br />Commissioner Medved stated that he was concerned in that this was <br />a piece meal development of the parcel. <br /> <br />Commissioner Medved further stated that an additional reason may be <br />that the building is not now totally within the B-3 property. <br />He further stated that he had difficulty dening something based <br />on a lot of lIifs". <br /> <br />commissioner Wickland stated that he was also concerned with dening <br />. <br />the application on "ifs". He indicat~d that he did not :ike to put <br />stumbling blocks in the way of developers wishing to develop presently <br />unused parcels within the City. He stated that it may be desirable <br />to recommend approval subject to certain conditions. <br />
