I
I
/1
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

· Traffic uSing the entrances to Rice Creek Plaza
from Silver Lake Road and Mississippi Street
will not unduly interfere with through traffic
flow on either street. Likewise traffic turning
into the site will be able to do so without
experiencing any unusual delays or hazards caused
by through traffic movements because the present
width of road would allow a vehicle to bypass another
vehicle making a left turn into the site.

. No traffic circulation problems on the site are
anticipated. Convenient and direct access to the
parking area~ would be provided with a minimum
amount of travel Dn the site to find a parking
space.

. The entrances planned on Silver Lake Road and
Mississippi Street would adequately serve traffic
entering and leaving the site. An entrance from
Rice Creek Road could be added for increased
convenience to shoppers but would not be needed
for additional traffic capacity.

. No unusual problems with the auto/pedestrian
relationship on the site are anticipated. The
major potential auto/pedestrian conflict situation
would occur in front of the proposed buildings;
the auto volume is low enough (less than four
cars per minute) to 'provide safe movement for
both cars and pedestrians. Auto traffic would
be dispersed to three entrances so that all
vehicles would not need to pass in front of the
buildings. A drive is shown at the south side of
the large parking area to provide access to the
parking from the south entrance.

2
