<br />Dear Jim:
<br />
<br />I believe the landscaping plan will put the right finishing touches
<br />on the project and establish the desired precedence for the city
<br />redevelopment and tree-lined streets. The landscaping project was
<br />estimated at $31,000 plus $12,000 on city, county and state right-
<br />of-ways. My understanding is that you will apply for a grant to
<br />develop the county, state and city right-of-way.
<br />
<br />The Development Agreement on the city Land Lease Purchase authorizes
<br />up to $15,000 for landscaping amenities or about 50% of the projected
<br />$31,000 landscaping costs and an additional $5,000 is estimated for
<br />cost of sprinkling the landscaping.
<br />
<br />I trust the city will be successful in getting the grant which has to
<br />be submitted by June 13, 1986. I have requested that Bill Kranz, Sr.
<br />obtain bids on the total project, including the sleeves under the two
<br />driveways for the sprinkling, at this time. I believe it is important
<br />that we proceed rapidly on this item to assure possible funding as well
<br />as esthetically landscaping the facility prior to the open house which
<br />is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 1983. Mr. William Kranz, Sr. will
<br />obtain bids with a delivery by July 3, 1983. The city, county and
<br />state right-of-way will be segregated in a separate landscape bid
<br />awaiting further direction from your office. The balance will be
<br />completed concurrent with the curb and blacktopping on the parking lot.
<br />
<br />I'm copying Bill Kranz, Sr. so that he will proceed accordingly.
