<br />Page 5 - October 24, 2006 New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />the City's comprehensive plan, and an amendment would be required to change <br />lurrent zoning. The Planning Commission met October 17, 2006, to discuss the item, it <br />as recommended to deny the application. <br />here was concerns expressed related to the operation of a production plant at this <br />ocation pertaining to noise and dust. <br />Ms Gundlach reported three letters of opposition were received from The City of <br />Mounds View, Dymax, and Fed Tee. <br />Jim Erickson, Community Development Director from the City of Mounds View spoke <br />regarding the negative impact on adjacent Mounds View parcels if this application is <br />approved. <br />Mr. Stengline (representing Belair Companies) requested council table their decision to <br />allow time for Mr. Murkowski to answer any questions. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Doffing to table the item; there was not a second. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman seconded by Council Member Burg to <br />adopt the attached Resolution which denies the proposed application as the proposed <br />use represents an expansion and/or intensification of a heavy industrial use that is <br />inconsistent with the New Brighton Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />4 Ayes -1 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Nay- Council Member Doffmg <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Consideration of Change Order No.2 and Authorize Final Payment for <br />City Project 06-01, NWQ Phase I Grading Improvements, Report No, <br />06-250. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works-Grant Wyffels gave a brief history of the project, He <br />outlined the six items where the change order was broken down. It was reported <br />that north Pine Aggregate Inc. has satisfactorily completed the construction work, <br />and the Engineering Department has accepted the work. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Doffing to <br />To approve Change Order No.2 in the amount of $198,691.42 and authorize Final <br />Payment in the amount of $426,084.96 on Project 06-1, NWQ-Phase I Grading <br />Improvements. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Icommission Liaison ReDorts.
