The masanary building and assaciated structures <br />have been vacated while the two metal buildings are presently <br />accupied by a cauple ten~nts. The deve1aper has an aptian agree- <br />ment with the property awner to. purchase the praperty and this <br />purchase agreement is transferrable to. the City. City staff has <br />been negatiating with the deve1aper regarding a deve1apment agree- <br />ment whereby City wau1d acquire the site, relacate the existing <br />tenants and sell the site back to. the developer far the canstruction <br />and camp1etian af three affice warehause type buildings far the <br />sizes as praposed abave. <br /> <br />Winfield Developments, Inc., applicant, is a subsidiary af Winfield <br />Campanies of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Winfield Develapments has been in <br />the Twin Cities since 1978. Winfield Developments currently has <br />prajects in Edina and also. in the Riverview park area of St. Paul. <br />The current prapasa1 is to. build three buildings in a phased appraach <br />with the first building being the middle af the three buildings and <br />wauld be af a tatal size af 54,220 square feet. Winfield is praposing <br />to begin canstruction of this Phase 1 building in July, 1983. On <br />March 22, 1983 the City Council will be cansidering an applicatian af <br />Winfield Develapments far industrial revenue bGnds and also. will have <br />befofp it a develapment agreement far co~sideratian. <br />
