That an application for a Special Use Permit, SP-141, was filed with <br />the City of New Brighton on April 3, 1987. <br />2. The Planning Commission pursuant to published and mailed notices, <br />held a public hearing on April 21, 1987, and all persons present at <br />the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. <br />3. The City Council reviewed the Special Use Permit application on May <br />12, 1987. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the New Brighton City Council makes <br />the following Findings of Fact in respect to SP-141: <br /> <br />1. The subject site is zoned R-1, Single Family Residential. <br />2. A school is a special use in an R-1 district. <br />3. Pike Lake Elementary School is presently occupying the. site. <br />4. Any expan~ion or enlargeme~t to the structure or operation of a <br />special use'requires'the approval of a special use permit. <br />5. A' 11,505 square foot addition,is proposed for Pike Lake Elementary <br />School. <br />6. That the establishment, maintenance or operations of the special use' <br />will not be detrimental to or endanger the public health, safety, <br />morals, comfort or general welfare. <br />7. That the special use will not be injurious to the use and enjoyment <br />of other property in the immediate vicinity for the purposes already, <br />permitted, nor substantially diminish and impair property values <br />within the neighborhood. <br />8. That the establishment of the special use will not impede the normaL <br />and orderly development and improvement of the surrounding property , <br />for uses permitted in the district. <br />9. That adequate utilities, access roads, drainage and/or necessary <br />facilities have been or are being provided. <br />10. Conformance and adherence to all standards for special use permits <br />as pertains in Section 8-110 and 8-130 of the New Brighton Building <br />Code. <br />2.
