Nienaber <br />Building Official <br />City of New Brighton <br />803 5th Avenue NW <br />New Brighton, Minnesota 55112 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Nienaber: <br /> <br />In response to your letter dated March 10, 1981, we are taking care <br />of the code violations in the following manner: <br /> <br />#1. Braastad Electric has made contact with the City Electrical <br />Inspector and will take care of this code violation. <br /> <br />#2. Schulties Plumbing has made application for plumbing permits and <br />inspected all plumbing work done. <br /> <br />#3. I have contacted Suburban Heating to clear up the heating violation. <br /> <br />#4. We have Pertinen Designing employed to draw up the proper plans for <br />our building to conform to three floor usage, with firetower in rear <br />and front stairways. <br /> <br />#5. We are ~nstalling Exit signs. <br /> <br />#6. Stone Masonry, Inc., will replace rear basement door with proper <br />fire rated door and, as agreed upon, will cut cement to obtain <br />maximum height of opening. <br /> <br />#7. Tenants have been notified to leave all Exit doors unlocked when the <br />building is occupied. <br /> <br />#8. Stone Masonry, Inc., has been asked to cover all exposed styrofoam <br />in the basement to conform to the 15 minute fire rating. <br /> <br />We realize that some of these code violations have to have a Building <br />Permit issued befor~we can comply, which goes in conjunction with approval <br />of the city parking ordinance which we are working on to clear up in the <br />very near future. <br />
