<br />,A <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />,"": <br /> <br />APPLICATIon FOR BUILDING PERMIT <br />LP-84, U-HAUL <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />To review a request for a building permit for V-HAUL Company of <br />Minnesota to construct ~. 90 square foot addition on an existing <br />building. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />APPLICANT: <br />LOCATION: <br /> <br />U-HAUL Company of Minnesota <br /> <br />1134 Silver Lake Road <br />(Generally west of Silver Lake Road, south <br />of McDonalds) <br /> <br />ZONING: <br />AREA OF SITE: <br /> <br />B-3, General Business <br />26,250 square feet <br /> <br />PRESENT USE fF PROPERTY: Vacant Service Station <br /> <br /> <br />BUILDING AREA: 1825 square feet <br /> <br />FLOOR AREA RATIO:.07 <br /> <br /> <br />PARKING SPACES PROVIDED: 12 s~aces <br /> <br /> <br />PARKING S~ACES REQUIRED: 13 spaces <br /> <br />Prior to allowing the applicant to reopen the service station which <br />has been vacant for more than six months, the applicant must <br />eliminate or reduce the non-conformities on the site. A non- <br />conforming use permit is not required becau~e the applicant has <br />submitted a site plan indicating that all non-conformities will be <br />eliminated by doing the following: <br /> <br />1. Re~oving the existing canopy. <br /> <br />2. There are three (3) driveways on the site and the applicant <br />will be closing one driveway and realigning the other two <br />(2) driveways. <br /> <br />3. The applicant will be installing the required landscaping <br />in the front yard. <br /> <br />4. The driveways, parking area and storage area will have the <br />required concrete curbing. <br /> <br />5. The applicant will provide for the required thirteen (13) <br />parking spaces. . (Note: th~ site plan submitted indi~ates <br />only twelve (12) spaces w~ich was an error in calculation <br />of spaces needed. The applicant will adjust the site plan <br />to allow for the additional space adjacent to the employees <br />parking on the northern portion of the site.) <br />
