- 3 -

5) The additional storage structure will be taken down, and we will
put much less expensive and less aesthetic-looking plastic over
our firewood at your request.

6) This area was a matter of indecision from the start, but we were
told that every square foot of our property would have to be
either grass, dustless surface or building, and in this case we
chose a dustless surface.

We realize that we have not been able to construct our establishment
on a timely basis with everyone's schedules.

We cannot fully accomplish all requirements in your letter at this time
only because of weather conditions, but we will and without extra
prodding complete our intended goals as we have stated within 6 months'
time, weather permitting. '

Our situation is such that we cannot wave a magic wand and things
happen, but we offer this, that we will not deviate to a lesser any
plans originally submitted to the council.

/

Our certificate of occupancy is a very important step for our corpora-
tion. We have to disagree that much progress has not been made to [/
comply with our plans. In fact, we feel we have accomplished quite
bit from an old, white shack and weeds. We have placed 750 yards of
sod and over 1000 sq. ft. of concrete parking area, and built a 24 x 48
building, all within 15 months of issuance of our permit. We have
approximately 50% of the fencing up, and the goodwill we have estab-
lished for the trade area in only 9 months has had a definite effect
on the immediate downtown New Brighton commercial area.

We offer our total cooperation in this matter in the hopes that both
the City Planning Dept. and New Brighton Small Engine Service, Inc.
will be able to work out an agreeable working partnership.
