<br />Page 5 - November 28, 2006 New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Hoffman stated that if we were to pay per hour, the outcome would <br />Ifar more costly. <br /> <br />unci! Member Bauman stated that she was unaware of the compensation plan, <br />d the first she knew of this was when she received her packet. <br /> <br />It was reported that this was discussed at a work session, and the amount of <br />$1,000 was discussed. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg stated that by not having to hire a temporary replacement <br />there has been a substantial cost savings. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to approve <br />the salary adjustment for the Acting City Manager position effective from July 7, 2006 <br />through January 31, 2007. <br /> <br />3 Ayes ~ 2 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Ayes: Mayor Larson, Council Members Hoffman and Burg. <br />Nays: Council Members Doffmg and Bauman. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg expressed her desire that this item would have been approved earlier <br />in the term of the Acting City Manager. <br /> <br />louncil Member Doffmg suggested that the council work together on the Performance <br />eview process for the Acting City Manager. <br /> <br />Commission Liaison ReDorts. Announcements. and UDdates <br />Municipal Advisory Commission Reports: <br /> <br />Council Member Mary Bure: - Public Safety Commission <br />Council Member Burg reported on the various charitable giving opportunities including; <br />Santa Cop and Project Lifesaver. JelU1ifer Minwegen was hired as an Office Technician in <br />the Public Safety Department. Council Member Burg expressed condolences to Council <br />Member Hoffman on the death of her father. The Public Safety Commission will be <br />meeting November 29, the parking concerns on 12th Avenue will be discussed. <br /> <br />Council Member Ann Hoffman - Parks. Recreation. and Environmental Commission <br />Council Member Hoffman gratefully accepted all the condolences from Council Members. <br />There was not a Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Sharon Doffine: - Plannine: Commission <br />Council Member Doffing reported the Planning Commission did not meet in November. <br />Condolences were expressed to Council Member Hoffman. <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Gina Bauman - Economic Develo ment Commission <br />There was not and Economic Development Commission meeting, a reminder was given to <br />attend the Truth in Taxation Hearing Monday, December 4. Condolences were expressed to <br />Council Member Hoffman. <br /> <br />
