<br />Page 4 - November 28, 2006 New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Hoffman restated that any outside opportunity would require <br />(ouncil's approval. <br /> <br /> <br />otion by Council Member lIoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to approve <br />the employment agreement between the City of New Brighton and Dean Lotter for the <br />position of City Manager. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />2. Consideration of Application for a Solicitors License for Matt <br />Goodhart Construction. Report No: 06-267. <br /> <br />Matt Goodhart explained the he has recently obtained a contractor's license and will <br />be distributing flyers through-out the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Doffing, seconded by Council Member Bauman to <br />issue a solicitors license to Matt Goodhart Construction, valid from December 1 until <br />December 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br />I Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />3. Consideration to adjust the annual salary for the Acting City <br />Manager position effective July 7, 2006. Report No. 06-269. <br /> <br />Council Member Bauman stated that she feels 95% of the outgoing City Manager's <br />salary is excessive, a range of salary for the City Manger was requested. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson stated the general consensus of neighboring cities is 95% of the <br />outgoing City managers salary. The Acting City Managers estimated additional <br />hours worked has been approximately fIfteen per week. <br /> <br />Council Member Bauma:n restated that while the performance was good, and the <br />additional time was appreciated, still 95% is excessive. <br /> <br />Council Member Doffing questioned Mayor Larson as to the cities he contacted. <br />Mayor Larson spoke with the Cities of Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center. <br />ICollilCil Member Bauma:n spoke with three cities, she recalled two; Arden Hills and <br />MOllilds View, it was reported these cities no longer have Assistant City Managers. <br /> <br />COllilcil Member Doffing expressed her appreciation for the extra work. <br /> <br />2.
