The Ramsey County hearing will be held on December <br />11, 6:00 p.m. A second #621 school board hearing will be December 10. <br /> <br />Childs said staff is researching alternative methods to keep residents <br />informed during the City's budgeting process. <br /> <br />Gerhard Breese, 197--32nd Avenue NW, attended the recent school board <br />hearing and noted the tax levy would increase by 11 %. He encouraged <br />residents to attend the December 10 #621 school board meeting. <br /> <br />Council encouraged public involvement in the upcoming 1992 budgeting <br />process. <br /> <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director, directed to Council written comments <br />received regarding the 1991 tax levy. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Williams, to CLOSE THE HEARING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Rebelein, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 1991 ANNUAL <br />BUDGET AND CERTIFYING THE TAX LEVY. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Childs said the St. Anthony and New Brighton Councils had met to <br />discuss the Ramsey County Silver Lake Road reconstruction project. <br /> <br />At the discussion, it was agreed that a joint policy statement be prepared <br />which reflects both cities views. <br /> <br />Highlights of the draft include: <br /> <br />Both Councils support improvements which enhance traffic safety <br />on the roadway. <br />The Councils do not support proposed designs which overly widen <br />the roadway beyond what is needed for traffic safety improvement. <br />Both cities agree to undertake more vigorous enforcement of the <br />speed limit with the goal of increased traffic safety. <br />In conclusion, both cities ask that Ramsey County revise previous <br />preliminary design concepts to reflect these policy statements. <br /> <br />Public Hearina <br /> <br />1991 Annual <br />Budget and Tax <br />Levy <br />Report 90-247 <br />Resolution 90-94 <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Silver Lake Road <br />Joint Policy <br />Statement Draft <br />Report 90-248 <br />
