This continuance was to allow the applicant and the owner of the lot adjacent to the <br />north of the applicant's parcel additional time to have an appraisal completed and to meet with a mediator to <br />determine a course of action acceptable to both parties. <br /> <br /> <br />DEPT, HEAD'S APPROVAL: Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br /> <br />MANAGER'SREVIEW/RECOMMENDATIOND11 (?hJJ:.5 <br />No comments to supplement this report Y- <br /> <br />EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sh~e,ts as necessary) <br /> <br />Unfortunately, the mediation session will not be held until Saturday, June 5, 1993, due to conflicts in work <br />schedules and the time needed to complete the appraisa1. As a result, staff does not have an update for the <br />City Council as of this writing. If the mediation session is successful and the matter is resolved, staff will <br />update the City Council with a brief report at the City Council meeting on Monday, June 7, 1993, <br />However, if the matter remains unresolved and the two parties wish to pursue further mediation, the City <br />Council may want to continue consideration of LP-274 and R-137 until the June 22, 1993, Council Meeting. <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT <br /> <br />W ooddale Application <br /> <br />The Comprehensive Plan amendment for the W ooddale Builders rezoning application will be considered by <br />the Planning Commission at the Public Hearing on June 15, 1993. Since the Comprehensive Pl~n <br />amendment should precede the rezoning of property, the public hearing could be held regardless of whether <br />or not the City Council acts on the rezoning at its June 7th Meeting. <br /> <br />Cleveland Avenue SE Land Use <br /> <br />Per the City Council's direction, staff will prepare a report which will examine the impact of amending the <br />Comprehensive Plan to redesignate the single family and two family residential lots on the west side of <br />Cleveland A venue SE from Single Family Residential to Limited Business. The report will discuss existing <br />and projected traffic volumes, impact of freeway exposure, future land uses in Arden Hills, overall land use <br />compatibility, etc. Staff anticipates having the report ready for City Council consideration at the July 13, <br />1993, Council Meeting. <br /> <br />p;~ <br /> <br />Erny Mattila, (City P anner <br />
