The extended stay hotel <br />parties have indicated that Site B could possibly accommodate an <br />extended-stay hotel, and Larry Laukka has stated that a commercial <br />business center could be constructed on Site A in lieu of some of <br />the housing. <br /> <br />Williams feels a common theme needs to be developed to complement <br />and blend the different pieces of development. The common theme <br />could be centered around the community center. <br /> <br />Childs said the residential and hotel designs are surprisingly <br />similar, and past discussions involved naming the community center, <br />"Brighton Centerll. It was suggested that the hotel could be named <br />IIBrighton Center Suitesll and the residential units, "Brighton Center <br />Homesites." <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Benke requested the redevelopment schedule be communicated to <br />downtown business residents. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to APPROVE AND ADOPT THE <br />PROPOSED SCHEDULE FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF DOWNTOWN SITE "A". <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Benke requested discussion of the prel iminary 1991 annual <br />budget/levy be deferred to after the work session on August 30th. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Downtown Redevelopment <br />Plan Schedule <br />Report 90-188 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt Rebelein, to RECESS THE MEETING Discussion of Brighton <br />FOR PURPOSES OF AN EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS THE BRIGHTON Corporate Park <br />CORPORATE PARK LEGAL MATTERS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Meeting was recessed at 8:48 p.m. <br /> <br />I Meeting reconvened at 9: 17 p.m. <br />
