<br />1 <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 26, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Williams noted concern of groundwater contamination from leakage. <br />Art Pimble, Environmental Affairs Manager, explained the treating <br />process, and research has found no evidence of treated pole leakage. <br />Drainage occurring in wood cracks is absorbed within 24 hours after <br />processing. Final site cleanup would begin by next year. <br /> <br />In regards to dust control, LeFevere recommended resolution changes <br />in page 2, paragraph 2, line 4: which shall occur no later than <br />June 1, 1992; 1 i ne 11, Future changes in on si te storage patterns <br />and vehicular movement may result in the imposition of additional <br />conditions by the City and the company acknowledges the continuing <br />obligations to comply with any such necessary performance standards <br />to control dust generating from the site. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt Rebelein, to APPROVE LP-251 <br />SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />L <br />2. <br />3. <br /> <br />APPROVAL NC-87 <br />RCWD APPROVAL <br />PROVISION OF A PERFORMANCE BOND OR LETTER OF CREDIT IN THE <br />AMOUNT EQUAL TO 100% OF THE COST TO INSTALL ALL SITE <br />IMPROVEMENTS EXCLUDING THE BUILDING; <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt Rebelein, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVING NC-87 WITH INCLUSION OF CITY <br />ATTORNEY'S RECOftI't1ENDATIONS AND APPLICANT'S OFFERED AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council noted receipt of a petition regarding PL-188. <br /> <br />Mattila presented preliminary subdivision review of 13 single family <br />lots on a parcel north of Long Lake Road and south of 14th Avenue. <br /> <br />At the public hearing, several residents noted concerns of the <br />subdivision's traffic being generated onto streets to the north. <br /> <br />The plat shows four exiting options: 15th Street, 15th Terrace, <br />16th Street, and 16th Terrace. Staff feels a Long Lake Road curb <br />cut would limit the development's exiting options.
