Mattila said that although the Mezzanga Proposal <br />proposal was reviewed by the Police and Fire Departments and found Report 90-145 <br />to be acceptable, an alternative plan was not discussed. <br /> <br />Larson feels the site distance across from the Kari Lane curb cut is <br />more visible than the 15th Street curb cut. <br />Wi 11 i ams recommends the developer present a new plat to Counci 1 <br />which shows options for exiting onto Long Lake Road. A key <br />redesigning factor is whether the Long Lake Road exit is across from <br />Kari Lane or further east. <br /> <br />Mr. Mezzanga said that, according to staff, a Long Lake Road exit <br />was not an option, and he has not had opportunity to redesign the <br />plat. <br /> <br />Benke said the location of easements could cause the loss of one or <br />two lots after redesigning. He added that Council's concern is of <br />the development I s concept, but not for redes i gn of the <br />egress/ingress. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A resident thanked Council for their attention in this matter, and <br />asked that residents be notified of further discussions. <br /> <br />Marijean Gould, 1474--15th Street NW, presented a letter from Ramsey <br />County which acknowledges they have not been notified of the <br />project. Mattila said the County was not notified because the <br />original proposal did not include direct access to Long Lake Road. <br /> <br />Phyllis Reha, 1247 Long Lake Road, stated that residents along Long <br />Lake Road should be notified of further Council consideration. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to CONTINUE CONSIDERATION OF <br />APPROVAL OF PL-188 TO THE JULY 10, 1990, COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />David Childs, City Manager, explained the haulers have developed a <br />proposed solid waste plan which would meet the Council's objectives. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Kevin Tritz, Woodlake Sanitation, on behalf of the haulers, thanked <br />Council, staff, and EQC in development of the proposal.
