Staff will <br />research the records of previous curbing projects. <br /> <br />Larry Foss, 2529 Eastman Drive, noted he was assessed for the Long <br />Lake Road storm sewer and asked if he would be assessed for this <br />proj ect. Proper confi rmed that Mr. Foss wi 11 not be assessed for <br />the Sunnyside storm sewer. <br /> <br />Frank Tatro, 1611 Longview Drive, noted he was assessed for the Long <br />Lake Road street repair project. Proper noted Mr. Tatro should not <br />be doubly assessed, and will research this. <br /> <br />Jim Lekang, 2777 Valley View Lane, asked what method is used to <br />calculate the assessment. Proper confirmed that the method used <br />was the one lot/one assessment method. <br /> <br />Doug Luehmann, 2375 Brighton Lane, feels the lots should have been <br />assessed under the 1 inear foot method. Proper said the per lot <br />method was found to be much simpler and equitable in instances such <br />as the Sunnyside area where most lots are equal in size. <br /> <br />Cindy Ramm, 2648 Valley View Lane, expressed concern of losing some <br />1 arge trees on her lot. Proper said he is not aware of any trees <br />whi ch may be threatened by the road, but staff wi 11 revi ew her <br />property. <br /> <br />Bruce Nielsen, 2527 Rainbow Lane, asked the life expectancy of the <br />streets. Proper said a normal street life is about 30-35 years. <br /> <br />Mike Buckley, 2807 Valley View Lane, asked if the contract provides <br />for penalties to the contractor, if the project is delayed. Proper <br />confi rmed that a 1 i qui dated damages cl ause is in the contract. <br />Staff and the contractor will work closely to minimize project costs <br />and inconveniences to the residents. <br /> <br />Staff will review the drainage flow on Dick Brown's property. <br /> <br />25% of the street surfacing costs is special assessed, 100% of curb <br />cost is special assessed on streets with no existing curb and 50% of <br />the curb costs is special assessed on streets with bituminous <br />curbi ng.
