The proposed 1990 water and <br />sewer rates will remain the same as 1989; $.55 per 1,000 gallons and <br />$1. 30 per 1,000 ga 11 ons, respecti ve 1 y. Revenues from the Army <br />settl ement, customer fees and the Envi ronmenta 1 Restorati on Fund <br />will be used to pay for water and sewer services. <br /> <br />A survey of water rates for area ci ti es ill ustrated that New <br />Brighton's rates are very affordable and competitive. <br /> <br />Benke noted that Egan's report was very informative and excellently <br />presented and suggested a condensed version be sent to residents. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson seconded by Brandt, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING 1990 WATER AND SEWER RATES AND, TO WAIVE <br />THE READING AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER FOR WATER <br />UTILITY ASSISTANCE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />1990 Ut il ity <br />Management Study <br />Report 90-104 <br />Resolution 90-035 <br />Resolution 90-036 <br />
