A staff Future Focus Plan <br />person has been assigned to each issue. Benke noted that, in the Report 90-72 <br />future, a Council member should perhaps also be assigned to each <br />issue. <br /> <br />Benke will include these priority issues in his citizen address at <br />the March 31st Town Hall Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to ACCEPT AND ADOPT THE <br />NEW BRIGHTON FOCUS PLAN DATED MARCH 23, 1990. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Report 90-66, Resolution Authorizing Renewal of General Liability <br />Insurances was brought up for consideration. <br /> <br />Benke noted that in some other states communities whose Pol ice <br />Departments are nationally accredited have received reductions in <br />insurance premiums for public officials and general liability. <br />Currently, the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) <br />program does not offer a rate break to accredited cities. <br /> <br />Other Minnesota cities, who are in the accreditation process, are <br />considering to propose a rate reduction policy to the LMCIT staff <br />and the Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />Mot i on by Wi 11 i ams, seconded by Ben ke, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF GENERAL LIABI LIlY <br />INSURANCES AND AUTHORIZING A BUDGET CHANGE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Renewal of Liability <br />Insurance <br />Report 90-66 <br />Resolution 90-24 <br /> <br />Announcements & Updates <br /> <br />Brett Corneliusen, new Assistant Cable Technician, was introduced Asst. Cable Technician <br />to the Council. <br /> <br />The Community Recognition Dinner will be held on April 25th at Community Recognition <br />Robert Lee's Restaurant.
