<br />MINUTES <br /> <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 17,1994 <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Larry Baker, Chair. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present: Larry Baker, Steve Jensen, Mike Livingston, Virginia Sande, <br />Absent: Roger Blomquist, Joann Knuth, Paul Zisla <br /> <br />Also Present: Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />Roger Williams, Council Liaison <br /> <br />ADoPTION OF 1995 RULES OF PROCEDURE <br /> <br />ADoPT 1995 RULES - Motion by Sande, seconded by Jensen, to ADOPT THE 1995 RULES OF PROCEDURE. <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />ELECT VICE CHAIR - Motion by Livingston, seconded by Jensen, to ELECT VIRGINIA SANDE VICE <br />CHAIR. Motion Carried. Sande was elected unanimously. <br /> <br />WELCOME COUNCIL REpRESENTATIVE, ROGER WILLIAMS - Baker welcomed Williams, commenting this <br />is Williams' first tenure as Council Rep in the '90's. <br /> <br />REPORT ON COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Williams congratulated Baker and Knuth on being appointed to three-year terms on the Planning Commission. <br />Williams commented that the Council looked closely at the functions of the advisory groups and established <br />members' attendance at meetings as a priority item. <br /> <br />Williams asked what information the Planning Commission would like to have in the Council Action Report. <br />Baker answered they would like to know where the planning issues stand, the status of the Commission's <br />recommendations, and about issues coming up that would interest the Planning Commission. For example, <br />the Rice Creek Center would be an issue of interest to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Baker expressed an interest in the Economic Development Commission's (EDC) activities. <br /> <br />Williams said he was also a member of the EDC and could provide a link between the two commissions. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Jensen, seconded by Livingston, to APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 15,1994, <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays. Motion Carried. <br />
