<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />council Meeting Minutes <br />January 9, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />An applicant must demonstrate the following requirements for <br />reduction: the interior public area is separate from the <br />bar/restaurant, the licensee is a non-profit organization, a <br />majority of events conducted in such room do not involve the sale <br />of intoxicating liquor, and 25% of the days the room is used is by <br />a non-profit organization without charge. <br /> <br />Williams endorses the proposal, but asked that the requirements be <br />monitored annually. LeFevere noted that the applicant would need <br />to demonstrate its compliance to the requirements according to past <br />year records. <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87-128, ADOPTED ON <br />DECEMBER 8, 1987, RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FEES. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Samantha Orduno, Assistant to the City Manager, presented the quotes <br />for the printing of the 1990 City Newsletter and 1990 Park and <br />Recreation Newsletter. <br /> <br />The City Newsletter will be separate from the Park and Recreation <br />News 1 etter and be des i gned as a "folksy" i nforma 1 presentati on of <br />news and information about our community. <br /> <br />The format and design concept was developed by Judy Goepel, Events <br />and Marketing Coordinator, in cooperation with Risdall Advertising. <br /> <br />I n November 1989, quotes were requested from severa 1 pub 1 ish i ng <br />companies for typesetting, printing and mailing of four City <br />Newsletters. <br /> <br />Nystrom Printing, Maple Grove, submitted and was awarded the bid for <br />thei r quote of $2,252 per four-page issues or $9,008 for four <br />issues. <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Department requested quotes from 21 <br />publishing companies for the typesetting and printing of three Park <br />and Recreati on Newsletters.
