<br />~OUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held <br />Tuesd~y, August 8, 1989, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Brandt, Gunderman, and Larson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Williams <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Maurie Anderson, Park and Recreation Director <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />John Kelley, Police Chief <br />Les Proper, Public Works Director <br />John Dean, Acting City Attorney <br /> <br />Council Mi nutes <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Moti on by Benke, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE JULY 25, 1989, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES AS CORRECTED. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes - None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Pol ice Chief John Kelley and Accreditation Manager Tom Johnson <br />presented a proclamation signed by Governor Rudy Perpich proclaiming <br />August 8, 1989, New Bri ghton Pol ice Department Day.
