HEAD'S APPROVAL: Kevin Locke, Director of Community Development <br />MANAGER'S REVIEW/RECOMMENDATION: <br />No comments to supplement this report <br />Comments attached <br />EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sheets as necessary) <br />To hold a public hearing and consider a proposal to vacate a portion of the First Street NW right of way. <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />The portion of the existing First Street NW right of way lying east of the Fifth Avenue NW is being proposed for vacation. <br />At onetime, this section of First Street NW served several single family homes and a trucking company. Since then, the <br />City has acquired said properties along this segment of First Street NW. Now, the subject right of way no longer serves a <br />public purpose and is impeding the development of the BCP II development area. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Motion to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE ATTACHED RESOLUTION VACATING THE <br />PORTION OF THE FIRST STREET NW RIGHT OF WAY LOCATED EAST OF THE FIFTH <br />AVENUE NW. <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />GACD1Z-ARCHW-961296-CCRXERN111 STSTVAC.
