<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 27, 1989 <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />AUTHORIZE THE ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE TO ESTABLISH MAXIMUM <br />MONTHLY COMPENSATION TO THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Williams said the Ramsey County League of Local Governments met at <br />the New Brighton City Hall on June 21st. It was well attended and <br />informative and he said he received several compliments regarding <br />the City Hall renovation. The July 19th meeting will be held at <br />Long Lake Regi ona 1 Park. A tour of the park by Ramsey County <br />personnel will be included with a picnic following. <br /> <br />Brandt noted that the Economic Development Commission will meet on <br />June 29th at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Childs said the Community Center Task Force will conduct a public <br />meeting on June 29th at 7:30 p.m. at Edgewood Community Center. <br /> <br />A five-year plan work session will be held on July 11th at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Brandt said the Long Lake Boat Launch opening ceremonies have been <br />rescheduled to July 10th. <br /> <br />Larson noted he will be unavailable for the scheduled Team Building <br />session in September. Childs will contact Lyle Sumek to reschedule. <br /> <br />Williams feels formal recognition should be made to the Stockyard <br />Days Committee for their outstanding work.
