League of Women Voters <br />Several suggestions came out of this meeting and Brandt will refer <br />these suggestions to staff. <br /> <br />Williams said the Ramsey County League of Local Governments recently <br />held a meeting on waste management. This excellent and informative RCLLG Meeting <br />meeting was well attended with one representative from a recycling <br />company. <br /> <br />Williams noted the intersection of 19th Avenue SW and County Road Road surfaces at 19th <br />E has a huge pothole and is a safety hazard. Proper said he will Avenue SW <br />contact Ramsey County to repair this area. Proper said the <br />maintenance staff has been very busying patching and repairing city <br />streets. Brandt suggested the possibility of arranging a contract <br />with Ramsey County to repair these roads. <br /> <br />Larson thanked the Eagles Club for their excellent City Employees Eagles Club Dinner <br />Dinner and Dance held on Saturday, March 18t~. <br /> <br />Benke received a brochure from Lakewood Community College regarding Lakewood Community <br />the Community Leadership Academy. The Chamber of Commerce is College <br />considering a scholarship program offered to Commission and Board <br />members interested in the program. Benke would like to attend the <br />Spring session to explore opportunities and the possibility of <br />pursing this program. Williams said the program sounds like an <br />excellent idea, but feels to insure a variety of interesting <br />subjects, the City should not sponsor the program. <br /> <br />Ordulio said the Town Hall meeting is schedqled on April 8, 1989.
