The State has since <br />changed the definition of allowable expense. With the increase in <br />the City liquor license fees. it has become more difficult for the <br />Legion to continue the amounts of their donations. <br /> <br />Lang and Chief John Kelley have discussed the reason as to why the <br />Legion's license fee was raised to $12.600. Lang questioned the <br />exemption of the municipal liquor businesses from licensing fees. <br /> <br />Lang said the Legion enjoys donating to the City and other various <br />organizations. but the increase in the license fee will make it more <br />difficult to donate. . <br /> <br />Lang suggested schedul ing a meeting with the Council to further <br />discuss this subject. <br /> <br />Benke thanked the Legion for their excellent work and looks forward <br />to continued positive relations between the Legion and the City. <br />He acknowl edged the need to sit down and exp 1 a in the 1 i cens i ng <br />procedure to the Legion.
