2
A
Formell stated that some landscaping should be done around the addition.
Mr. Mohnkern stated that some landscaping probably would be done in the
future but that he is concerned that shrubbery would block light to the
basement windows.
Partyka suggested that there should be some landscaping along the east
side of the property to screen the view of the parking lot.
PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Motion by Mann, seconded by Partyka, to recommend approval of the
landsc Epe and plot plan with the driveway on Silver Lake Road removed
and the area planted with grass, with some screening of the parking area
along the east side and with low shrubbery along the east and south sides
of the proposed addition
Motion carried 4-1 (Ness)
ADMINISTRATIVE DISCUSSION:
The applicant has indicated that no additional landscaping is planned at
this time, though some may be added in the future. The plot plan also
shows that the parking lot is to be blacktopped. This is required by
Section 12-010 (f) of the Zoning Code. It should be definitely
established as to when this will be done.
The applicant has said that he will have two landscape plans for Council
review. One will be as originally submitted. The other will incorporate
changes suggested by the Planning Commission.
