Page 6 — January 9, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Bauman to <br />eclare the public hearing held regarding the issuance of this license and grant an on <br />ale liquor license to Our Bar and Grille, 500 5th Avenue NW, #106. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Council Business <br />1. Consideration for RFP's for Hansen Park Pavilion. Report No. 07 -007. <br />Councilmember Bauman requested this item be moved from the consent agenda to <br />Council Business for discussion. Acting City Manager Troha stated that the original <br />pavilion was destroyed by fire in March of 2006. <br />Councilmember Bauman requested clarification on costs associated with the <br />pavilion, and the amount of the insurance payment. Director of Parks and <br />Recreation. Sandy Breuer stated that a RFP was done earlier, with a larger sized <br />pavilion, the estimated cost from that time ranged from $55,000 and $105,000. It <br />was explained that replacement costs will come from two different sources, the City's <br />insurance policy in the amount of $19,421.50; with the remaining funds conning <br />from the park dedication fund. Councilmember Burg stated that she has heard from <br />tsidents their preference to rebuild the pavilion in the same location. <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Bauman to <br />proceed with soliciting requests for proposal to replace the large pavilion at Hansen <br />Park which was lost due to fire in March 2006. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements, and Updates <br />Municipal Advisory Commission Reports: <br />Mayor Larson acknowledged Acting City Manager Troha's service to the organization <br />for the last 5 �/Z years, and announced her resignation. <br />Acting City Manager Troha reported the annual neighborhood meetings will begin <br />January 31st. <br />Council Member Mary Buriz — Public Safety Commission <br />Councilmember Burg reported a joint Public Safety and Parks, Recreation and <br />Environmental Commission meeting was held where concerns related to the disc golf course <br />were addressed. The next Public Safety meeting scheduled for January 31 will continue to <br />discuss issues, primarily parking concerns. <br />1.
