<br />..~ <br /> <br />"'... <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />SP-59 <br />November 12, 1974 <br />8~ 15 P ..M.., . <br /> <br />Request: Approval of special '9se permit to allow moving of house <br />from 2722 Service Drive, New Brighton to Lot 1, Block 1 <br />Bristol Estates <br /> <br />Applicant: Gordon Hedlund <br /> <br />Location: Northeast quadrant of Silver Lake Road and 3rd St. NW <br /> <br />previous Council Action (SP-56. 9-24-74): <br /> <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded, by Rebelein, to deny SP-56. <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 payes - carried <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />The applicant is submitting a new request for a permit' <br />to move the house beind Minar Ford. <br /> <br />He has made certain changes in the design of the house. <br />These include moving the entrance to the west side of the house <br />~nd adding a porch on the north end of the house. These changes <br />are shown on rendering which the applicant has submitted. Not/ <br />shown is an alternate design which the applicant has for a more <br />open porch on the north end of the house. He could also consider <br />totally enclosing the lower level of this porch extension in order <br />to add another room to the house. <br /> <br />A more complete drainage plan is presented showing <br />drainage primarily toward the northeast corner of the lot. The <br />driveway would drain to a low point in front of the garage and <br />then off to the east side. <br /> <br />Planninq Commission Cosideration (10-15-74): <br /> <br />Gordon Hedlund reviewed the Council's action on his prior <br />request and presented new plans for the house showing an entrance <br />on the west side and an enclosed porch on the north side. <br /> <br />Mayor Bromander explained his original concern regarding <br />the drainage and the piling of.dirt for an east entrance. <br />
