<br />Public Hearing, <br />Special Use permit, SP-62 <br />July 22, 1975 <br />8:05 PM <br /> <br />Request : Approval of SpeciCl-l Use Permit to allow continued operation <br />of nursery school and day care center <br /> <br />1\pplic.ant: Building Block Nursery Schools and Day Care Centers, Inc. <br /> <br />Location: Apartments 113, 115 and 117, Bri9htonVillaqe Apartments <br />902 West County Road D <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />On July 10, 1973 the city Council approved a special use' permit <br />for the applicant to operate a day care center and nursery school <br />in the Brighton Villa~ Apartments. The motion granting this <br />permission was as follows: <br /> <br />"Motion by Eagon, seconded by Anderson, to grant <br />special use request as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Fisher, seconded by Rebeleinto <br />amend above motion to state limit of special <br />use permit for two years. <br />I <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br /> <br />Vote on. amended motion - 5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried" <br /> <br />The nursery school has been functioning since 1973 and we have <br />received no complaints in regard to it from neighbors in the <br />apartment complex nor from nearby single family homes. In terms of <br />our own code enforcement programs, there are some minor housing code <br />violations. which are to be corrected by the end of this month and <br />the applicant has been given a notice by the State Department of <br />Health to make certain improvements to the food preparation <br />equipment in the nursery school which order the City Sanitarian will <br />be enforcing. The applicant has been cooperating with the Sanitarian <br />in working 'on both of these prOblems. Outside of these items, we have <br />had no .problems at all in regard to the nursery school operation. <br /> <br />planninq Commission Consideration 6-17-75: <br /> <br />The Chairman read the background discussion. <br /> <br />Mr. Steven Gotf was present to represent the applicant. He <br />stated tha.t they are, presently serving 56 children and that they are <br /> <br />.'" <br />
