<br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was <br />held Tuesday, August 9, 1988, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue <br />NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Brandt, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams. <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Kevin Locke, Director, Community Development <br />Erny Mattila, Immediate City Planner <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Larson to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MINUTES OF JULY 26, 1988, COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with council consent, received the Minutes of the <br />Park Board, July 6, 1988. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Paul Fournier, Chairman, Economic Development Commission, <br />presented on behalf of the Commission, monogrammed hats to Arnold <br />Mosko, Mike Mezzenga, Ed Walhof, and Pat Cobb for their <br />hospitality at the Developer's City Tour. Mayor Benke has <br />received many favorable comments including the highlight of the <br />tour which was the boat ride. Council gave special thanks to Mr. <br />Mosko and Mr. Mezzenga for their assistance as volunteer <br />commodores of the boat rides, and the Economic Development <br />Commission for an excellent job. <br /> <br />~r. Fournier presented to Mayor Benke and the Council a plaque <br />recognizing the recertification of New Brighton as a Minnesota <br />Star City. Mayor Benke and the Council acknowledged the <br />dedication and hard work performed by the Economic Development <br />Commission and the City staff. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Brandt to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order <br />of Business <br /> <br />Developer's Tour <br /> <br />Star City <br /> <br />Consent Agenda. <br />
