He pledged to <br />strictly enforce the rules of the business and noted that the pro- <br />blem of noise from cars is something that can happen anywhere. <br /> <br />In reply to a question by Fredrickson, Mr. Neslund stated that the <br />hours would be approximately from after the close of school until <br />10:00 or 11:00 at night. <br /> <br />Joan Mann, 2139 Violet Lane, stated that the police suggestions <br />indicate .the likelihood ofa problem anc that she opposes the <br />location of this business in this area. She notes that oic1er <br />kids can congregate and influence younger ones. <br /> <br />Stan Novak, 2191 Violet Lane, stated that the proposed business will. <br />increase traffic in the area and that noise is already a problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Neslund asked if it wouldn't be better to have the teenagers <br />gather in a supervised environment where they can spend their <br />time involved in playing these games rather than being on their <br />own involved in other- types of activities. <br /> <br />Loren Schultz, 2119 Violet Lane, stated that she knows of a place <br />near BrookClale where businesses located near a business of this <br />~ype have had problems with smoke bombs. <br /> <br />Christine Novak, 2191 Violet Lane, stated that there are not too <br />many kids in the neighl::!orhood over 18 years of age-and asked where <br />the business's patrons would come from. She stated that if they <br />are from Mounds View or some other area that the business should <br />be put there. <br /> <br />Mr. Neslund stated that he expected to draw his patronage from the <br />immediate area. <br /> <br />( <br />
