She also suggesten that <br />the Planning Commission send a letter to the HRn. suggesting the <br />need for a recreational facility of this type and asking that <br />it be considered for location in th~ downtown area. <br /> <br />The Building and Planning Coordinator noted that it might even be, <br />possible to put a certain minimum distance that such a business <br />must be located from a residential dis-trict as is (lone with <br />liquor establishments. <br /> <br />Fredrickson stated that she thought the licensing idea was <br />valuable. <br /> <br />Parham stated that we need clear standards for the applicant <br />to look at rather than reacting to each case as it comes up. <br /> <br />Motion by Parham, seconded by Partyka, to recommend to the City <br />Co~ncil that it investigate setting up a licensing procedure <br />for this and similar types of business and that it consider <br />the previously mentioned conditions. <br />7 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />
