Mr. Pruitt indicated that without the <br />income they couldn't afford the rent and as such lost the lease. <br /> <br />Wickland stated that there had been problems with amusement <br />centers in.other communities and the Planning Commission should <br />think about the conditions that could be applied~ <br /> <br />Bohling stated that he felt the hours of operation should be <br />limited. <br /> <br />Wickland suggested that the following conditions be applied to <br />the special use permit: (1) Hours of operation be defined; <br />(2) Windows left unobstructed; (3) Bike racks be providedih <br />rear of building; (4) That the property be properly maintained; <br />(5) No liquor; and, (6) No wagering or betting. In addition, <br />Wickland suggested that the manager of the business ,be over <br />21 years of age. Fu.rther, Wickland suggested that perhaps the <br />amusement, centers with which the applicant has been previously <br />associatp.d with should be investigated regarding their mode of <br />operation. <br /> <br />Anderson suggested that the special use permit be reviewed <br />after six months or perhaps one year. <br /> <br />Motion by Bohling, Seconded by Anderson to recommend approval <br />of SP-70 with the following conditions: <br /> <br />j <br /> <br />1. That hours of operations be limited to 3:00 p.m. <br />to 10:00 p.m. on school days, noon to midnight on <br />weekends and school vacations. <br /> <br />2. That window areas in front of the building be left ' <br />unobstructed. <br /> <br />3. That bike racks be provided in rear of buil~ing. <br /> <br />4. That the property be properly maintained so as to <br />avoid a nuisance. <br />
