SP--69

-3-

We have not attemPtep to create a sign plan for this building,~
nor has the applicant submitted one. We would note, however,
that such a plan should be tailored to the specific building as the
plan for the building at Miss. St. and Silver Lake Road was tailored
to that building. It should further be noted, that the owner
of the building should be involved in any such sign plan.

Some guidelines for the basic elements of a sign plan
are contained in Section 14-200 where regulations for both
buildi:ngs of multiple occupancy with individual entranceS ,and
buildings with shared entrances are specified. In each case, the
only ground sign allowed is one identifying the building as a
whole and not individual businesses. Buildings with individual
entrances are each allowed an indiv'idual wall sign limited to
five items of information. Buildings with shared entrances can
have a wall or ground sign identifying the building only and there
may be a wall directory to identify each individual tenant.

It is our under the applicantls reference for a
si n plan is one t ould allow the ex~st~ng signs to rema~n
.they presentlY are. We would note a pencer as changed
his location within the building and desires to erect a new sign.
Presumably, Dr. Specner would then remove his existing wall sign.
We would further note that Dr. Spencer's new sign should be
included in an overall sign plan for the building.

Planninq Commission Consideration & Recommendation (2-17-76):

Please See Attached
