page 2.

the roof and that the pylon sign would be changed by adding
the word (center) to create a pylon identifying the Big B's
Pizza Center. The applicant has also indicated that the
remaining part of the sign plan would be completed within a
5 year period of time and would now govern all new signs erected.

Overall, the sign plan appears to be very adequate. The intent
of the zoning code is to create one signable area and for signs
of the same basic character and size. Further, the intent of the
sign ordinance is to identify the property with a single pylon
rather than naming individual tenants. The sign plan submitted
accompli, shes the intent of the sign ordinance and presents a
situation for erection of new signs that would be both compatible
with the building and the intent of the ordinance as well as it
would provide a very workable situation in terms of securing sign
permits.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that SP-80 be approved subject to conformance with
the sign plan submitted entitled "Big B's pizza Center" signed
by the applicant and the City Planner.

(

Sl'x.U -7 It/~ '"

~mes F.
