If there <br />appears to be a demand, Mr. Shelton commented that the store might <br />be open 24 hours. <br /> <br />Commissioner Livingston stated that he was uncomfortable with the <br />layout and note~ that the circulation pattern at the site is <br />presently poor. <br /> <br />Mr. Erickson commented that h~ felt that the slope difference and <br />design of the driveway because it is steep, slowed down traffic <br />some. <br /> <br />l; <br />~ <br /> <br />-"~ <br /> <br />i <br />! <br />i <br />I <br />I' <br />,: <br />I' <br />I' <br />I': <br />I;' <br />I.. <br />r~ <br />i <br />I,: <br />r~ <br />! ,: <br />t: <br /> <br />Commissi~ner Sande stated th~t she was concerned about that type <br />of use next to an apartment complex and that it was not a good, <br />location for gasoline pumps. <br /> <br />Motion ny Williams, second by Leverkuhn to adopt a resolution <br />recommending approval of special use permit, SP-96 contingent on <br />the following: <br /> <br /> <br />1. That the location of the service island and pumps <br />conforms to the site plan dated and signed by the <br />applicant and City Planner; <br />2. That the open area west of the service island be <br />sodded and contain plantings to screen the pumps <br />and be well maintained; and <br />3. That ther~ be no outside storage or display of <br />gasoline related merchandise. <br />3 Ayes, 1 Nay (Sande), 1 Obstention (Livingston), Motion Failed <br /> <br />Chairman Leverkuhn noted that the item would go the City Council <br />without a recommendation. <br /> <br />or. <br />i <br />
