<br />City of New Brighton <br />June 9, 1981 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Blomquist directed receipt of a letter from <br />Mr. Dick Aplikowski, owner of Lakeside Trailer Park, re- <br />garding donation of a tree. Acting Mayor Blomquist directed <br />staff to write a letter to Mr. Aplikowski expressing the City's <br />thanks and appreciation for the tree donation. <br /> <br />Tree Donation <br />Dick Aplikowski <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt, to approve the <br />following items: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated fund vouchers - In House 51730-51759 <br />Computer 58735-58834 <br />2. Liquor fund vouchers - 14278-14376; 14779-14813 <br />3. Temporary food and beverage license to Jaycees <br />4th/5th of July including waiver of fees <br /> <br />(' <br /> <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Mr. John Murlowski, representing Belair Builders was ~P-9~BelaiI Builders, In. <br />present to answer questions. 7:45 p.m.-8:01 p.m. <br />Resolution No. 2443 <br />Councilman Benke asked if the 10,000 cubic yards of the Report No. 81-111 <br />proposed excavation was sufficient to complete the job. <br />Mr. Murlowski stated that the estimate for cubic yards of <br />fill material needed was supplied from Suburban Engineering <br />based on the construction plans and elevation drawings of <br />the site. And that based on these drawings and plans, the <br />10,000 cubic yards was felt to be sufficient. <br /> <br />Mr. Walt Nyberg, 129 30th Ave NW stated that he was concerned <br />that this rather small excavation project not turn into a <br />continual gravel mining operation on this property. <br /> <br />The Acting Mayor replied that there is no guarantee that <br />additional special use permits will not be applied for in <br />the future but that the City does retain some control through <br />the special use permit process. <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Raveling, 117 30th Ave NW questioned where the fill <br />would actually be removed from the site. Mr. Murlowski <br />stated that the fill would generally be coming from a <br />small .area in the middle of the 60 acre site. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritz Werdourschegg, 1501 23rd <br />the road used for hauling would be <br />natural state following completion <br /> <br />Ave NW questioned whether <br />repaired back to its <br />of the excavation work. <br />6 <br /> <br />Mr. Murlowski stated that they would be willing to construct <br />a berm or otherwise repair the traveled road back to the <br />original state. <br /> <br />.~) Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />
