<br />Extract Of Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 19, 1982 <br />Page #2 <br /> <br />Commissioner Knuth indicated that the Commission should <br />not consider the free standing ground sign for the <br />Erickson Super Va1u's proposed new store because he felt <br />that at the time the building plans were presented that <br />the Super Va1u people would have more of an idea of what <br />thei~'si~nage needs we~e~ <br /> <br />Commissioner Helgeson commented that any consideration <br />for a ground sign for Ericksons should be the same style <br />and design as the other center sign. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sande indicated a concern over having to amend <br />the sign plan in the future to accommodate the leasing of <br />the old Erickson Super Valu building. <br /> <br />Commissioner Williams indicated that delaying action on <br />the Erickson ground sign would provide more control over <br />the design and location of the sign at that time. <br /> <br />Motion by Knuth, second by Helgeson to recommend approval <br />of the staff prepared sign plan with the amendments of <br />including two (2) illuminated entrance signs to be located <br />on the southernmost driveway and one on the northernmost <br />dirveway and to also delete the proposed Erickson Super <br />Va1u ground sign on Silver Lake Road. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sande indicated that she will vote against the <br />motion because of the added amendments.
