December 29, 1981

Y'

APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT
SP-102, B & D WAREHOUSE SIGN PLAN

PURPOSE

To consider a request for a special use permit to establish a sign
plan for an industrial building with multiple tenants.

BACKGROUND.
APPLICANT:

LOCATION:
ZONING:
GENERAL CODE REGULATIONS:

B & D Warehouse, Berger Transfer and
Storage, Bill Dircks

200 Old Highway #8

1-2, Heavy Industrial

Ground sign cannot exceed 64 square feet
in area and 20 feet in height.

According to the attached sketch the
applicant is proposing one ground sign,
60 square feet and 14 feet high.

PROPOSAL:

STAFF COMMENTS

Past sign plans for buildings with multiple tenants with separate and
shared entrances have had only one ground sign with tenant name plates.
This proposal is very consistent with those past approvals. Examples
of similar signs include the Belair Building and the Lange Building
both on Old Highway #8.

The sign has the building name and 10 plates for tenant identification.
Other signage on this building should be restricted as outlined on
the attached resolution.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

To recommend approval of SP-I02 by waiving the reading and adopting
the attached resolution.

tC~J
tJ
an M.
