<br />December 29, 1981 <br /> <br />Y' <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />SP-102, B & D WAREHOUSE SIGN PLAN <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />To consider a request for a special use permit to establish a sign <br />plan for an industrial building with multiple tenants. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND. <br />APPLICANT: <br /> <br />LOCATION: <br />ZONING: <br />GENERAL CODE REGULATIONS: <br /> <br />B & D Warehouse, Berger Transfer and <br />Storage, Bill Dircks <br /> <br />200 Old Highway #8 <br /> <br />1-2, Heavy Industrial <br /> <br />Ground sign cannot exceed 64 square feet <br />in area and 20 feet in height. <br /> <br />According to the attached sketch the <br />applicant is proposing one ground sign, <br />60 square feet and 14 feet high. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL: <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br /> <br />Past sign plans for buildings with multiple tenants with separate and <br />shared entrances have had only one ground sign with tenant name plates. <br />This proposal is very consistent with those past approvals. Examples <br />of similar signs include the Belair Building and the Lange Building <br />both on Old Highway #8. <br /> <br />The sign has the building name and 10 plates for tenant identification. <br />Other signage on this building should be restricted as outlined on <br />the attached resolution. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />To recommend approval of SP-I02 by waiving the reading and adopting <br />the attached resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />tC~J <br />tJ <br />an M.
