<br />-- <br /> <br />; . <br /> <br />NEW BRIGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />MAY 4, 1982 <br /> <br />Chairman Williams called the meeting to order at 7:15 P.M. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Williams, Helgeson, Knuth (arrived 7:20), Livingston <br />Sande, Weaver <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Baker <br /> <br />ALSO <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Council Representative Blomquist <br />City Planner Archer <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Livingston, second by Sande to approve the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of April 20, 1982 as submitted. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />( REPORT ON COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Council Representative Blomquist reported that the Ramsey County Board <br />approved the Regional Park for Long Lake on a six one vote and agreed <br />that the County and the City would negotiate in good faith to amend <br />the joint powers agreement. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />SP-104, SGT. BILKO'S INC. <br /> <br />Chairman Williams called the public hearing on SP-104. <br /> <br />SP-104 <br />7:25 P.M. to <br />8:20 P.M. <br /> <br />Staff briefly reviewed the concerns regarding the lack of <br />parking spaces for this particular type of use. Staff <br />indicated that, there was a deficiency of seventy-four <br />spaces for this particular type of use based on one space <br />for every two seats. <br /> <br />Applicant Jim Hanna of Coon Rapids briefly reviewed his <br />proposal and indicated that it was a social center and dance <br />hall strictly for adults and that there would be dances on <br />Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Commissioner Sande asked the applicant how he could control <br />the use of the facility by juveniles. <br />
