He was informed that he would also in
the future need Council approval of all building permit applications.

Building relocation is p)~ocessed pursuant to Section 8-630 of the New Brighton
zoning code, which reads:

IIA. Each relocation of a building shall require a special permit
from the City Council and all such buildings shall conform with
and be situated in a properly zoned area in accordance with all
of the provisions of this ordir.ance and the City building code.
B. Application for a permit to move a building shall be accompanied
by an abstractorls certificate of property ownership within Uvo
hundred (200) feet of the boundary lines of the lot upon which
said building is to be located. The application must also be
accompanied by a written approval of at least fifty (50) percent
of the property ONr.ers within the said two hundred (200) feet of
said lot.
C. The appl i cati on for a permit to !;;ove a buil di ng may be granted or
denied by the City Council after a public hearing.1I

There are two separate concerns that I have at this time in regard to building
j'elocation:
1) Question if there is a statutory [equitEJT,ent for signatm'es and a
public hearing for such matters; and
2) The procedure to be used for Mr. Bromander's relocation request.
