<br />... <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />EXTRACT FROM MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 19, 1982 <br /> <br />SP-108, SPECTRUM 2 <br /> <br />SP-108 <br />8:04 P.M. - <br />9:08 P.M. <br /> <br />Chairman Williams opened the public hearing <br /> <br />Applicant Eric Aaron was present to answer questions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sande inquired of staff of the license procedure <br />and if there would be consideration of a conditional/temporary <br />special use permit. ' <br /> <br />Staff noted that the conditions of the license are explicit and <br />if those conditions are not met by the applicant the li~ense <br />could be revoked. <br /> <br />Joe Elfert, 2803 Mississippi Street, commented that he has been <br />disturbed by the noise in the parking lot from children hanging <br />out and racing vehicles. He stated that he felt it was a real <br />problem when the ice cream shop was open and that the neighbors <br />didn't have the problem when the Pizza Factory was there alone. <br />He indicated that if the problems in the parking and the problems <br />with bike parking could not be addressed he could not support <br />the amusement center. <br /> <br />Paul Zake, 2196 21st Street NW reported to the Commission that <br />on one occassion he could not get into the mall because of <br />a fight and was pushed around. He commented that there were a <br />number of small children living in the area and the parking lot <br />and mall troubles created problems for those children. He noted <br />that the Police Department didn't respond 'effectively to his <br />calls. He commented that the kids should not be allowed to <br />drink beer in the parking lot'and he was concerned that it <br />appeared that the Police condoned these activiites. He said <br />this area was quite a hangout and that the curfew should be <br />enforced. <br />
