<br />December 17, 1982 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />SP-109, LP-137, JONES LAKE RADIO TOWER <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br />To consider a request for a special use permit to construct a 500 foot <br />high radio tower within Jones Lake. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />APPLICANT: <br />LOCATION: <br />ZONING: <br /> <br />Central Baptist Theological Seminary <br /> <br />Jones Lake <br />1-1, Light Industrial <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />The applicant is requesting a special use permit and building permit to <br />construct a 500 foot radio tower in Jones Lake (see enclosed plans). <br />This raises zoning questions related to tower construction and f100d- <br />ways since Jones Lake is iwthin a floodway district. <br /> <br />The first issue is if the use is permitted in the floodway district. <br />The uses permitted by Section 10-040 are attached. The applicant is <br />requesting a finding that the tower is a special use under Section 10- <br />040 (b-7). I am not convinced this tower falls within this classifica- <br />tion.
