<br />~I <br />f <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 23, 1988 <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUBDIVISION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />As LeFevere had nothing to add to the proposed resolution, Benke <br />moved, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT A RESO- <br />LUTION MAKING FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND ORDER IN THE MATTER OF THE <br />APPEAL OF RELOCATION BENEFITS OF A. THOMAS OSWALT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Sinda indicated, because Jim Senden is working with a different <br />financial plan, the applicant asked that the reconsideration of <br />the Brighton Park, Inc. Development Agreement, be continued. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Benke, to CONTINUE THE RECONSI- <br />DERATION OF THE BRIGHTON PARK, INC. DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AND <br />FINAL PLATE APPROVAL (PL-168) TO A FUTURE MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Mattila briefly reviewed plans for the subdivision of a portion of <br />a 34.5 acre parcel into 15 single family lots. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Brandt, to APPROVE FINAL PLAT (PL- <br />167) SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS OF CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 88-12. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Mattila reviewed site plan and staff report concerning a site <br />plan, non-conforming use permit, a front yard setback variance and <br />a special use permit to construct a two-story office/production <br />building on a site having Type IV nonconformities, located less <br />than 40 feet from Eighth Avenue N.W. right-of-way and having four <br />driveway entrances. Mattila indicated past councils have found <br />the Type IV nonconformities have been resolved as much as possible <br />in the past. <br /> <br />Brandt asked about landscaping and green space plans on the Old <br />Highway 8 side of the building. <br /> <br />Mattila stated Micom has maintained a 32-foot setback which would <br />be landscaped and the only intrusion into the green area would be <br />a 14-foot driveway from Old Highway 8 along the south property <br />line; Mattila also indicated that two green ash trees are proposed <br />for Eighth Avenue. <br /> <br />Brandt asked if that would exacerbate parking by Print Craft; <br />Mattila responded that, short-term, it may cause more problems for <br />the Print Craft building but, in a discussion with Ed Walhof, <br />owner of Micom, it was indicated Walhof is thinking of future ex- <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Relocation <br />Hearing: <br />A.
