Mattila asked council to consider, for this
application and other similar applications, the city's study of
exterior storage standards; the study is progressing and, although
it is not yet completed, it is far enough along to know that the
city will have more stringent standards than currently exist.

Benke asked if the staff recommendation to ,approve LP-223 is be-
cause of timing (the conditions may not be adequate once the study
is completed); Mattila stated he was not totally sure how the
study would affect this application but feels, if an application
like this were to come to council in the future after the exterior
storage study had been adopted, the study may have a different im-
pact on this application than our standards do at the present
time.

Page 3

1988 Public
Improvements
Projects
Feasibility
Study - Set
Public Hearings
Dates
Report 88-58
Resolution 88-22

LP-223 Boerner
Building
Systems
Report 88-59
