Mr. Billman appeared before the Commission indicating that it was not possible to build
* the parking lot according to the way it was laid out on the "approved plan"and that
the scale of that plan 'did notmean too much". Mr. Billman also indicated that the
Building Inspector had been to the site while the curb forms were being set up and that
the Inspector had made no comment with regard to any discrepancy at that time. The
Planning Commission and Mr. Billman then discussed the parking requirements, in com-
mercial zones which Mr. Billman feels are unreasonable.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Partyka to recommend that the council apply the
same action to this variance request as was applied to VN-79 (Denial) in that no
additional information provided appeared to alter the case substantially. Motion
carried 5-0.
Becker Carpet Landscape Plan
A brief discussion was held by the Commission with regard to the present state of the
Becker Carpet Site. Motion carried 5-0.
Chairman Motis made a brief statement to the Planning Commission indicating that
he is resigning from the Commission as of the first of the year, and thanking the com-
mission members for their cooperation during his term as chairman.
