VN-93
Sept 26 - 8;15
P.2
Distances to the existing pavement edges on Long Lake Road and New
Highway 8 fronn the, proposed structure are approximately 50 feet-and
-100 feet respactively. While some change is anticipated with respect
to Long :Lake-Road as a result of the planned reconstruction of the OId
highway 8-County Road `"D"`intersection, these distances: appear o
,remain relatively"constant.
PLANNING COMP'IISSION CONSIDERATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS. Sept. 5, 1972
The Planner indicated that the property in question is an irregularly
shaped parcel`resultng from the.relocation; of Old Highway 8 which
would be virtually mpossble`to develop in accordance with_the stric
provisions of` tie New-Brighton Zoning Code, Section 10-x.10.
:Considerable discussion was held regarding the merits. of moving the
proposed structure position closer to the property lYne bordering on
New Highway 8 thus widening the distance between Long Lake. Road. and
the structure.
Motion by Partyka, seconded by Ness to recommend approval of the variance
request, .changing the setback on the west side of the structure. to
30 feet instead of the requested 20 feet.
Motion carried 4-0.
